Motherboards, screens, keyboards, drives, memory, power supplies and printer parts replaced on site by a Dell-certified engineer. For OEM warranty programs, MSPs and businesses that need a device fixed where it sits.
Device break-fix is the largest share of my field work: hundreds of desktop, laptop and workstation repairs a year for national warranty and depot programs, plus direct calls from businesses in Chicago and the suburbs. The job is simple to describe and easy to get wrong: arrive with the right part, follow the OEM procedure, keep the user’s data intact, prove the fix, and document it so the claim closes without a callback.
I am Dell-certified and work HP, Lenovo and other OEM procedures daily. Parts can ship to me or to the site. For businesses without a warranty program, I diagnose on site, quote the part, and either repair or help you decide when a replacement makes more sense.
Counts are completed, client-approved on-site work orders through national IT service programs and direct clients. Client names are withheld under confidentiality.
1. Send the request. Site address, what is being installed or replaced, part or serial numbers if you have them, and the window.
2. Written scope and rate, usually the same business day. Vendor onboarding paperwork is handled before the visit.
3. On site, done, documented. Serial numbers, photos, test results and a closeout summary go to your ticketing system or inbox.
Yes. A large share of my work is dispatched through national warranty and service programs on Dell, HP and Lenovo equipment, following each OEM’s procedure and documentation standard.
Yes. For out-of-warranty devices I diagnose on site at the standard on-site rate, quote the part, and repair it on the return visit or the same visit if the part is on hand.
Same-day and next-day visits are usually available across Chicago and the suburbs. Send the request with the model, the symptom and the address and I reply with a window.
Repairs are done with the drive intact wherever possible, and I confirm the system boots and the user can sign in before I leave. If a drive has to be replaced I migrate or restore data as part of the scope.
Send the model, the symptom and the address. You get a window and a written rate, usually the same business day.
