Terminal swaps, new-store installs, kiosk and menu-board deployments, and break-fix visits for restaurants and retail locations across Chicago and the suburbs. One senior engineer, scheduled around your opening hours.
Restaurant and retail IT has its own rules: the store cannot close for a terminal swap, the register has to be back up before the next shift, and the POS vendor on the phone needs a tech on site who can follow their runbook and speak their language. That is the work I do for POS providers, national rollout teams and store owners across Chicagoland.
I handle the physical side end to end: unbox and stage, mount and cable, connect receipt printers, cash drawers, scanners and payment terminals, confirm the register comes up on the network, run the vendor test transaction and leave photos and serials behind. Overnight and early-morning windows are normal for this work and I take them.
Counts are completed, client-approved on-site work orders through national IT service programs and direct clients. Client names are withheld under confidentiality.
1. Send the request. Site address, what is being installed or replaced, part or serial numbers if you have them, and the window.
2. Written scope and rate, usually the same business day. Vendor onboarding paperwork is handled before the visit.
3. On site, done, documented. Serial numbers, photos, test results and a closeout summary go to your ticketing system or inbox.
Yes. Most of this work is done under the vendor’s or integrator’s runbook, with their support desk on the phone for activation and test transactions. Send the runbook with the request and I follow it as written.
Yes. Store installs and swaps are usually done outside trading hours. After-hours and weekend rates are published on the services page.
No. I install, configure and troubleshoot equipment you or your POS provider supply. That keeps the scope clean and avoids markup on parts.
Yes. Multi-site rollouts across Chicagoland are scheduled as a project with one point of contact, a per-site checklist and a consolidated closeout.
Send the store address, the equipment and the window. You get a written scope and rate, usually the same business day.
